Sales Information

  • All puppies are vet checked for general health at 6 weeks and receive their first immunizations including kennel cough and a deworming of panacur. At 8 and 12 weeks the puppies receive their booster shots and their second and third deworming. All puppies will be vet checked a second time before going to their new home and they will receive Albon 5 consecutive days before leaving as a preventative.

All pet puppies are sold with a spay/neuter agreement.
Full AKC rights is available only on those puppies
I evaluate as promising show/brood prospects,
and only to approved individuals.
Any puppies that are sold with full AKC rights
must be registered with my kennel name 'LittleBark'.
Please respect me and my breeding program by complying.

  • PLEASE DO NOT BUY A CHIHUAHUA FOR A  YOUNG CHILD
Because of their tiny size, Chihuahuas are fragile and many breeders, including myself, think that children should be at least 8 to 10 years old before having a Chihuahua in the home.  Without meaning to, some children can play too rough or toddlers could step on or fall on Chihuahua resulting in injuries or even death.

Remember, I reserve the right to refuse a sale if I feel that the health
and welfare of my puppy or grown Chihuahua is in jeopardy.

Deposit

  • Due to the interest and inquiries concerning the purchase of my Chihuahuas, I have implemented the following purchase policy. A non-refundable $200 deposit (to be applied towards the purchase price of the dog) will hold your puppy until it reaches the age and weight to go to a new home, which is usually 2 pounds or 9-12 weeks. (For International Sales, a deposit of $250 is required to help off-set the upfront costs in preparing the puppy/dog for exportation.) This deposit may be made by Personal Check, Money order or Paypal electronic transfer. (If paying by PayPal, please add PayPal’s 3% transaction fee to your total.) I must receive this deposit within 5 days of a verbal or e-mail agreement.  If I do not receive the deposit within that amount of time I will not continue to hold the puppy. I feel it is only fair, under those circumstances, that someone else be given consideration toward the purchase of the puppy.

Be aware that this deposit is non-refundable
unless something happens to the puppy while still in my care.
Payment in full is expected at the time of picking up the puppy.

Shipping

  • While I would always prefer the puppy be picked up in person, sometimes that is just not possible.  I do ship, weather permitting, out of Kansas City International Airport to your nearest airport. Because I am located 6 hours (310 miles) from the Kansas City Airport, I only ship on Fridays. The buyer assumes all costs, and liability related to shipping the puppy.

A) Shipping within the continuous United States.
  • The price to ship to any major airport is $260, which includes an approved shipping crate, Veterinary Health Check & Health Certificate and mileage.  With the price of fuel on the rise, a shipping estimate for non-major airports or international exports will be given when the destination airport is known and an exact quote when actual flight is booked. Any balance due and the shipping fee for the puppy must be paid in full 5 days before the puppy is shipped.

B) International Shipping
  • Exact International shipping fees will be quoted 30 days prior
to shipping due to the fluctuations in fuel and airline fuel surcharges.

  • Shipping fees will include airfare, shipping crate, rabies @ 12 weeks and a series of 4 parvo, distemper, parainfluenza and adenovirus type 2 vaccines, 1 vaccine for bortadella, USDA Vet Health Certificate, International Veterinary papers, AKC Registration and 3 generation pedigree and ISO microchip on puppy.

  • Any required post rabies vaccination wait will be charged as board at $3.00 per day and any required laboratory testing will be itemized and added to the shipping fees and must be paid with the shipping fees 5 days prior to shipping.

C) Method of Shipping
  • Please note that with the exception of Delta, airlines will not book live animal shipments more than 5 days out from the shipping date. So, please do not ask me what airlines I am going to use or to book a flight any sooner than this. I will book your puppy as soon as I can and will book with the shortest airtime available. Please do not inundate me with e-mails concerning this or that flight prior to the time I can actually book your puppy’s flight. Just because you may see many different flights to the requested airport does not mean there are any live animal cargo spaces available on all of those flights. So, I ask that you resist the urge to micro-manage my efforts to get your puppy to you. I understand that you are excited and at the same time nervous about getting your new family member home. Rest assured, I have 10 years experience with shipping puppies by air, I am savvy with the ever changing federal requirements which are in place to ensure the safety of animals, and the airlines keep improving their live animal programs in order to meet the needs of first the animals, then buyers and the sellers.  Please trust that I have your best interest and that of your puppy at heart, but if you simply cannot, perhaps buying a puppy locally might be a better solution for all involved.

Please note: Balance due and shipping fees may be made only by
money order, certified bank check or PayPal electronic transfer.

If paying by PayPal,
please add the
3% PayPal transaction fee
to your total.
